First assignment for all potential sports writers:
1. Before Friday night, read some of the attached articles from Ratto and from previous years of Blueprint. Comment on them with what you like/dont like. Most importantly, identify a story line/theme (if one exists, which it should), and analyze the intro as well as the presence or lack of creative language.
2. Go watch, take notes, and even record some sounds around you (as Freeman suggested) at Fridays football game-- Acalanes v. Justin Siena (7 pm at AHS)
3. Get Interviews after the game- as you sign up here I will assign people for you to interview so as one player does not get interviewed multiple times.
4. Over the weekend (preferably friday night while its fresh in your head) write a story with what information you gathered. Keep in mind the style of writing that you read from stories posted here. Your story should include the following:
- Title and subhead
- Interesting, catchy lead
- Story Line
- Sources/ capper quote
5. As you finish your story, post them to the thread entitled "AHS vs. Justin Siena Articles"
6. When we meet on Monday, we will all review and critique eachothers' work, posting comments on the individual topic threads.
